arm linux kernel booting problems with qemu


i have compiled a linux kernel for ARM versatile family, but when i am booting with qemu emulator, nothing is displayed after starting the kernel..

like this : -

# qemu-system-arm _m versatilepb -m 256M -kernel zImage -nographic

Uncompressing Linux... done, booting the kernel.

after this nothing is displayed,

my guess is that you need to define a console. the "uncompressing..." message is from the bios/bootloader, and signals the last message before linux itself takes over.
