3g on a tablet is a bad thing IMO. tether through your phone for a single plan if need be.

Just because something is popular doesn't guarantee a person will like it.

You should make a list of the pros and cons of both products. Then circle or underline the main feature(s) that is of most interest to you. Also, youtube has many consumer reviews of these products.

Second, if you have deep pockets buy both :)

Personally, I use my Kindle Fire for just about everything these days, including of course "entertaining reading." It's a very powerful Android-powered device that cost me about 1/3 of what an iPad would have. I have no need of a camera in it; nor a GPS; nor a phone.

However, when making your decision you should matter-of-factly write down what's important to you, and why. For example, particular "killer apps" that you want to run, ease-of-use with a Mac that you already own, and so on. These are purely personal factors, as is the purchase itself.

When purchasing ... poke around the Apple site until you find the "refurbished equipment" page. Most of the stuff you find there actually has never been sold to anyone: it's the stuff that people used in the various stores. The equipment has been taken back by Apple, cleaned up if needed, then sold at a substantially reduced price, "by Apple," with full factory warranty. It'll be "last year's model" or in some cases "earlier this year," but who-the-heck cares.

You can fully expect, in all cases, to receive an extremely powerful machine, backed by a suitable warranty, that ought to last you for many years. Whether it's Android based or iOS based (or even  based?) is entirely up to you. Make the decision based on decision-points, not marketing.

Iphone or Samsung, they both have good features. But it depends on your money.

The note (vs the tab) looks like a really good bit of kit. Nice high end one. Can't imagine you'd be dissapointed

With that principle firmly in mind, buy the piece of equipment that, all things considered, will serve your present need most-completely, today. In 720 day's time, figure that you won't even be able to give the thing away in a donations-box.

I think that is a little extreme. I just sold my 2 year old myTouch 4G for a little over $100 on ebay. I would expect you get the same for a 2 year old tablet (maybe a little less), but to say it will be worthless is a little overboard.

Only wifi. It also cannot expand memory.

Not sure why everyone needs 3G on their tablet. I just tether it to my phone which has fake 4G(T-mobile), and I always have my phone on me.

I vote for Apple tablets. Base on my experience Apple tablet is the most reliable and easy to use. I am not saying that Android doesn't have good quality, actually they also have great features but with regards to the speed and has a user friendly features, Apple is # 1 for me.

The comparison is not right depends what you take as Android if Andorid is on Galaxy Note than I would chose Note because of the price, sure Android O.S. is not as reliable as Apple IOS but in compare of the price I would chose Galaxy Note, since reliability is not so important in tabled case. IMO.

Regarding to the friendly features it is all based on personal experience, I have difficulties in operating with Iphone, compared to the S3 I own.

Well, It's just my own opinion but you have a point. Maybe it will depend on what users really need in a tablet. :)

the whole story about android / ios is difficult as both do more or less the same. one difference is that you don't need a computer/itunes with an android. handy as you have more freedom. on the other hand the whole google apps is getting out of hand with more and more hacked software in their play store. another 'problem' with google is they keep changing their software faster then the weather changes, change control is a non existing thing. nice for the freaks but a disaster for the 'normal' users. so my advise is for stable / normal users probably apple and for the techno freaks android with all the freedom but open source...
