Android will not update.

I am having trouble getting Android to upgrade from 1.1 to 1.5. It seems to be stuck on 4/5ths of an update. It stays there perpetually. It's been several weeks now and it hasn't made an iota of progress.

Every now and then I'll come back onto the update program where it'll say "requires restart" and I'll hit download again, where it'll resume to be at a mere 4/5ths progress.

How can I fix this? Is there a way to clear out whatever the update app has saved and truly start over again? Is there a way to manually update?

What platform are you running on? Is this a mobile phone or have you put Android on some different device?

T-Mobile G1. That should answer all your questions.

In that case you are probably better off going through T-Mobile support. There isn't a whole lot you can do or fix on their locked-down setup.

If it was installed on something else, than that might be a different story.
