android phone at&t

To whom it may concern,

Does anyone know if at&t will ever get an android phone in 2010? My contract ends in April and I want to renew the contract. Some sites say that the dell mini 3ix will be at&t's first android phone. I would like the passion, but any android phone on at&t would do. A lot of the sites that I go to are dated.

It seems like Android phones are exploding this year, with something like 30 different handsets known to be in development. I would certainly expect at least one of those to arrive officially on AT&T at some point.

Though you could use any GSM Android phone on AT&T already, assuming the phone supports the GSM frequencies used in your area.

wouldn't you also be able to buy a phone outright from another provider and unlock it to work on att

To unlock call the provider and say your travelling overseas and they can unlock it( T-mobile lets you but only after 3 months of service)

I've read recently that a full featured 3g android is coming soon to AT&T. At the AT&T store last month I was told that there would be one by summer. That's as far as my memory goes though.

AT&T should have the Nexus soon, that is possibly what you were hearing about.
