Android Nougat (7.0) DuckDuckGo Device Search

I just bought my first Android device. As I'm sure you all know, Android has a system search, for which Google is used. I'd like to be able to use DuckDuckGo for this. I already reasearched the matter and couldn't find anything useful. How do you set DuckDuckGo as the default search engine for system search?

I just checked my android 7 samsung galaxy phone playstore and " google now " is in the playstore.

Edit: my bad. I must have understood you wrong when you want to look for duck duck system search. I have no clue what that means. Sorry.

Maybe DuckDuckGo search and stories, Startpage private search, lxquick search. In the play store may meet your needs. Honestly though. I don't know.

android is google.
you cannot change the existing search bar to another search engine.
now, de-googlifying android, that is a big topic.
do some research.

By system search, I meant that I want to be able to search the device for apps and files which are locally stored on it.

I'd really like to install LineageOS on this tablet. LineageOS is a fork of the now-defunct CyanogenMod. It's Android without the spyware and bloatware.

I actually bought this tablet in the hopes of being able to install LineageOS on it. At first glance, there's already a LineageOS ROM for it. But upon closer examination, I discovered that ROM is actually for an older version of this tablet.

Specifically, my tablet is an Asus ZenPad 8.0 (380M). The LineageOS ROM is for the Asus ZenPad 8.0 (380KL),which is two years old. At this point, I'm hoping that the person who created that ROM or someone else will create a ROM for my ZenPad. If not, I might give it a shot. The only programming language I know is Java, but that might be fine since Android apps use a modified version of Java, and Java is sort of similar to C++.
