Wifi not working in Linux Mint 12

I'm new in linux and still don't know how to figure out if its a driver issue, Do we have any guide where could I learn it.

It seems that my wifi is just turned off and it does not work even I push the button, its a Compaq 2210b.
The KDE control module does not detect any wireless network but when I switch to windows mode, I dont have any problems

I hope this info help

ifconfig -a

You need the Broadcom firmware and drivers.
