Depends what it relates to. Much can be handled in Debian, as the foundation on which Ubuntu and Debian sit, but some things are Mint-specific.

Here on LQ it does not matter (much).
However, on Debian Forums you might get spanked for asking questions about Mint.

Is that your question?

I use LMDE MATE myself. I've always liked it.

LMDE is supposed to be as close to the primary/Ubuntu edition of Mint as it can be, so on LQ the best place for any distro-specific questions would be Linux Mint forum - but do make it clear you're running the Debian edition (along with version, DE involved, etc).

However, since LMDE v5 is in beta, any issues that crop up from that might be better on the official Linux Mint LMDE forum, or via the issue tracker if it's definitely a bug.

(At the very least, before posting search Mint forums, Mint tracker, and LQ to see if anyone has the same issue.)

Which forum to post lmde questions...

Fair enough. This was actually a prelude to a question regarding speeding up the boot process for debian ingeneral and lmde4 specifically. The question might actully belong in sofware asit is to ask about readahead, ureadahead, e4rat, etc. I've done searches on some of the forums but I get way too many results most of which don't even contain the search term and e4rat actually generates only an error message. I'll post my question in software.
