by mistake I just installed Mint 17.3 to the wrong place - it is now sharing space (own partition) alongside a W10 installation on a Dell laptop.
I was trying to install to a flash drive - but no, that didn't happen. Don't yet know why..
Anyway - can't see anywhere how to uninstall Mint (in its entirety) from the Dell Hard Drive.
However, as I'm new on the forum today I'm sure the question must have been asked before, so if one of you good people would be kind enough to point me in the direction of the relevant thread, I'd be most grateful.
Linux Mint is an operating system not an application or program so you don't 'uninstall' it you simply format the partition on which it was installed which you should be able to do easily from windows. If you want to install it to another drive and it is UEFI (windows 10), you will need to use the manual method which in Mint is referred to as Something Else. The link below gives a description of the installation process.
