Unhappy To get back linux mint boot menu

I am in a serious trouble...!!!
I had in my computer 2 OS installed .. windows XP an Linux Mint Helena. I used to boot from Linux mint Grub screen, where there was also an option to boot win Xp also.
Now, out of my curiosity I installed Mandriva 10 free version.
Now I cant find the option to boot Linux Mint. I had many important files there not backuped. I seriously need them. Plz tell me what to do...

Can I anyway get back the Mint boot grub menu?

Dunno about that command, - it depends on just what Mandriva 10 overwrote.
Mint or XP or neither !.

& how the OP re-did the partitions.

boot, help, mint
