Running KDE Plasma apps in Cinnamon
Hello
I was looking for an SVN GUI, I used PySVN Workbench in 19.3 but it seems to be gone in 20. I saw that KdeSVN was still available, I used to really like that some years ago. So I installed it but it shows up with no icons: http://littlesvr.ca/misc/kdesvnnoicons.png I played around a little bit, even installed kde-full, nothing works. And I found that the same seems to be true for /every/ KDE app. All of them are missing the icons inside (on menus, buttons, etc). If I log into Plasma - all the apps' icons look fine. Is it possible to get KDE apps to look properly when running Cinnamon? Is there perhaps some service I need to run to get them to show up? Thanks in advance. |
I believe it is just a QT issue - there was no need to install all of KDE. There is an app named "qt5ct" which controls how QT apps are viewed. No clue what distro you are running since you didn't say but inferring from your version numbers, I'd say Mint.

Thank you!
Running qt5ct seems to have fixed it - I selected the Mint-Y icon theme and left everything else at defaults. I didn't need to set any environment variables. |
