R Click Solved

How to I right click on a MacMintBook? I installed Mint18 Cinnamon 64 bit on Mid 2007 MacBook (32bit EFI/64bit Intel Processor) The usual mac suggestions don,t work - place cursor over object then press Ctrl - cursor over object, do 2 finger tap on tracpad. They just open the object. I have a usb wireless keyboard and mouse that I can right click with, but the person who will be using it won't want to use them.

I'm not certain if you've tried these few alternatives, but they might be worth a go.

2 fingers on touchpad w/out pressing any keys did work.

Nothing on the first link worked for me.
Second link looked like too much trouble.
Mac Instructions were to press Option key and put 2 fingers on the touchpad - did not work with Mint 18.

So Shift+F10 nor Fnc+Shift+F10 worked?

Since this has been marked "Solved," would you be so kind as to post the solution. It might help someone else with the same issue.

I already posted the solution. Third post down. Place cursor over an icon, then tap the trackpad w/2 fingers. The documentation for my MacBook said to press the option key and do the 2 finger tap. That did not work.https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207700. Might not work on all Mac's. My apologies to everyone that I recommended getting a Mac. If I had to use the MacBook, I would get a windows type wireless keyboard and mouse.
