+1 XFS. Never had a single filesystem-related problem with XFS since I switched to it four or five years ago, and I've run it on everything... servers, desktops, netbooks. Supports quotas and acls, and I use it on my boot partitions because it can be read by GRUB legacy. Also has adjustable allocation groups and other features you can tune for performance at filesystem creation, if you are into that sort of thing.
