Newbie with Mint/ Linux would like to iinstall WINE on Mint so found no help for this

I am trying to get off my windows addiction But I still might like to try to WINE on Mint for the odd Windows program. My low crude Rumor mill suggests Mint is just a version of Ubunto? am I confused yes? If they had Mint/Wine instructions for Dummies that would be helpful for me.

THanks to anyone who might like to try.

You can use mintinstall to install wine. It comes with bundled with mint. Of course you can install it manually as mentioned above if you feel comfortable with it (which you will want to be if you intend to be a full time linux user).

BTW mint is great for new linux users.
