Mint 18 Mate live loses internet connection, will it faulter after install?
I find my Linux Mint 18 Mate 64 bit edition loses internet connectivity and I have to restart the web browser often, but will this persist in a fresh install to HDD? I may look at KDE... instead. Any advice?
More information is necessary to troubleshoot. How do you connect to the internet? Wired connection? Wireless connection? What is your network hardware/chipset?

I use a new wifi direct from the modem. Cable modem.
I was trialing Mint 18 on USB.
Intel Centrino N105 #2 Wireless
The connection with a password was automatically on, but even though the wifi icon showed a connection, I had to reconnect to get the web browser to work at intervals. Sometimes simply restarting the browser would regain connection. I do not see a hardware problem, nor in Windows 7 on this same computer. Lenovo thinkcentre.
Try using Mint's Driver Manager application to see if there are any drivers/firmwares you can activate for your Intel wireless. I believe some of Intel's chipsets require a firmware "blob". For more information, see here: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/...000005511.html
