what repositories were affected by this? Could it be all that has to do with medibuntu?
If so, that's an old hat. The medibuntu project has been given up some time ago, and its repo servers were taken offline some two or three months ago.
One way is to uninstall everything pulled in from medibuntu.com, then delete the references to that repository from the list of package sources. Refresh the package list, and everything will be fine.

Mint 14 is so old that it isn't supported any more. The older Mint 13 is, as it is an LTS (Long Term Support) version. Mint 13 has the same issue, though, but since it can be easily fixed ... In Mint 13, they say that everything they used to take from medibuntu is now integrated in the Mint repositories themselves.
You could also ignore the errors for the time being and wait for Mint 17, also an LTS, which is due in May and very probably doesn't have this issue. I wouldn't recommend to jump on the most recent version 16, as support for that version will end shortly, too.
