lost update password linux mint 16:help

old guy here...near 70! have mint on two machines but forgot admin. password...can't update on one.... (mint 16) I don't do command line but my son does...what's the simplist quick way to fix this????
...also need a good pasword manager for these linux machines so I can simply keep an easy access list of sites and activities that need paswords....I don't do banking or financial things or even purchase things with these computers so high security is not an issue yet!

Here are easy instructions to reset your password in Ubuntu. Mint is based on Ubuntu so I bet it will work:

LastPass password manager - a firefox addon|plugin.

Some folks around here like keepass also.
