Looking at the message about the installer crashing....it sounds like the terminal didn't get installed properly.

Did you check the integrity of the mint .iso file before you burned it to CD or DVD?

I did sha256 verification.
Click on the link.
I printed the iso file to usb.

That's good that the .iso checked out.

You might have to install another terminal if you can't get the one you have working.
Terminator is another kind of terminal if you'd like to install it and try it.
You can do all kinds of things with it.

If Cinnamon is the issue maybe install the Mate DE and try that.

Yes the terminal is working this time.
but
"Installer Crashed"
How can I resolve the error?

Ztcoracat 08-06-2017 02:43 PM

File a bug report so a developer can fix it.

For now the only way that I know of to fix it is to install the Mate desktop since Cinnamon keeps crashing.

Is this a fresh installation that you are trying to perform?

IF so, you might want to go with the Mate DE instead.

How are you trying to install?

Live CD/DVD? Live usb?

If your machine is a UEFI machine you have to disable the secure boot.

That fix is not about linux mint.

Ztcoracat 08-06-2017 05:05 PM

The problem with Mint is here:
https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=233879

The fix for it is at the bottom of that page.

-::-Linux Mint is Ubuntu based and the fix for it should work.-::-

If the installer continues to crash after trying the fix, try another distribution.
