Plugging in Corsair HS60 headphones into my desktop front panel audio jack does give me some sound but the microphone is not being detected.
In my sound settings the Output is correctly displayed. However my Output is blank.
When I open Pulseaudio volume control the headphones are listed in the Output devices. However in the Input devices it says "Front Microphone (unplugged)".
The microphone is actually built into my headphones. Do you think I need to use an audio splitter?
I'm no expert but as far as I know, the audio jack is output only (hopefully someone will come on and correct me if I'm wrong). Did the headphones not come with a audio/mic splitter?
I did try using the USB adapter a couple of weeks ago but came across the same problem. However, I just tried again now and it's working. I did want to connect the headphones to my desktop using the audio jack but I guess I'll just use what's working...
