Gaming Graphics in Linux

I want to share something I noticed while gaming in Linux compared to Windows. I have a decent gaming Rig, It's not the best rig in the world, But it is not bad. It is a i5-3470 paired with a GTX 970 and 16GB of Ram. I have both Fallout 3 and NV installed on Windows 10 and in Linux Mint. Yes I know that is crazy to have them installed twice. But I already had them installed in Windows before installing Mint 18 in dual boot. I was curious how well Wine worked, So I tried them on Linux Mint. Anyway to my point: I noticed while playing Fallout, the graphics look much better in linux. I have the settings exactly the same as I do in Windows. Yet the games look so much better in Linux. Why is this? I thought Wine was using DX just like in Windows. Anyone else notice this?

Check the graphics resolution
Check, which settings the games have for graphics.
