Firefox not displaying links at bottom of screen

I've only just noticed this today, but not sure if it has been going on for a while?
When I hove over a link, FF normally shows the url on the screen, at the bottom left. Right now it seems to be hiding behind the panel (is that the right name for it?).
See the attached. You can just make out a grey area above Menu and qBittorrent.
(edit Forgot to say I have Firefox 55.0.2, 64 bit

Try the key combination Alt+F10, at least twice, while the Firefox program window is in the foreground and focused. I do not know if this changes anything for the next session or if you have to do the same manipulations each time (nor if it will do anything in the first place, in your desktop environment).

On the other hand. If you like the Alt-F10 thing, try also Alt-F11. PSE report back. I am currently on a Debian machine, but remember to have used the same keyboard-shortcuts on Mint.

Cheerio.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Strangely enough I read your post and was looking to try Alt F10, when I realised the url is now displaying in the foreground over the panel.
A bit weird, as earlier in the day I rebooted my PC which made no difference at that time. Don't know why it's changed on its own.
If it happens again I'll try Alt F10, thanks.
