CLI for adding KDE to a LMMate install

I have just installed my Mate in the last week, and I must say I'm much more pleased than I was with any Ubuntu. However I always did fancy KDE over any other desktop, I just like a lot of eye candy. I didn't realize at the time I installed Mate, that LM has a KDE desktop. I have looked and I haven't found the right command line to add just the KDE desktop to my existing LM install. I mean, I know how to just add KDE, but to add the LM Kde is another story.

I know I had a dual desktop set-up with Ubuntu one time, to try out different desktops. When I logged in I would just pick whichever desktop I wanted that time. I'm hoping to do that here, and once I've made my decision, I can do an "apt-get purge" and remove the DE I don't want.

Yes I know just enough about the cli to be dangerous with an install, that's why I'm asking, before I screw something up.

Thanks
Robby

To get Mint KDE add the kde repos
Code:
gksu gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
Add:
"deb http://packages.linuxmint.com/ Rosa-KDE Main Upstream Import"
That assumes that you are using Rosa! Or do you have Rebecca?

Then
Code:
sudo apt-get update
Code:
sudo apt-get install mint-meta-kde
I suppose you know that you switch Desktops by clicking the little gear icon on the login screen.

thank you, yes I am using Rosa, and I do know how to change DE on login.

I do appreciate your help.

EDIT: Just wanted to say the deb line you gave me just returned a "unknown" or "unreadable" error. But I tried to install without adding a ppa,and it worked. Thanks again.
