Trouble is that most companies don't seem to mention Linux. I checked ebay and couldn't find any similar items that claimed Linux compatibility. If I didn't buy anything unless it mentioned Linux I wouldn't be able to buy much! Most things seem to work anyway - presumably Linux provides the driver instead of using one from the manufacturer.

When I say "didn't do anything" I meant that when I plugged in two Bluetooth devices they both show with lsusb but Solaar shows nothing.

Only the devices shown in post #5 they haven't got names of the format X999 like those in your list. Interestingly the middle one which is for mouse/keyboard mentions 'Logitech'. I have a USB printer but that wasn't plugged in.

Maybe you got me wrong. I meant the models. What you see after issuing lsusb are device ids, not the models, whereas K230 is a model.
I hope you get my point.

I'd noticed that and that was the reason I've pointed you to Soolar.
Anyway, the list in my previous post contains all the models supported by the software. If yours isn't there, we need to find another way to get it working.
Can you post here your keyboard and mouse model names please?

Sorry, the list looked like something produced by a Bash command so I thought they were something technical. Here are the manufacturer's and models.

As mentioned above, these worked on Linux. I don't normally use them because they eat the batteries:
  • Trust Optical Wireless Mouse (15313?) (broken now)
  • http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/13705749/705503808/-/ListingDetails.html?_%24ja=tsid:13315%7Ccat:13705749%7Cprd:13705749&$$ja=cgid:7025486577|tsid:48121| cid:130773417|lid:54129050337|nw:g|crid:22604418297|rnd:591239237863909572|dvc:c|adp:1o4|mt:
  • Logitech Cordless Mouse and Keyboard Receiver C-BG17-DUAL C, Mouse M-RR95, Keyboard Y-RAJ56A
This is the one I want to use which doesn't seem to work:
  • The Bluetooth dongle is a Signalex Bluetooth USB Dongle.

Try these commands as root:
Quote:
modprobe -r hid_logitech_dj && modprobe hid_logitech_dj
then, right after, enter
Quote:
soolar-cli show
