Mint 18.1 Cinnamon 64-bit
Bose Soundlink Color II
I have installed Blueman 2.0.4-1ubuntu2 and set the speaker up as an audio sink. Before that the standard Bluetooth manager could detect the speaker but wouldn't pair with it. But now clicking Audio Profile from Blueman doesn't do anything and the speaker is not an option in sound settings.
So I installed pavucontrol (3.0-3build1) from the software manager. When I installed it gave me a weird error:
Quote:
The package 'pavucontrol' could not be installed
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib/linuxmint/mintinstall/AptClient/AptClient.py", line 74, in _run
cache.commit(acquire_progress_monitor, install_progress_monitor)
File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/apt/cache.py", line 519, in commit
raise SystemError("installArchives() failed")
SystemError: installArchives() failed
|
But then it showed as installed in the software manager and I can see the package installed in the package manager so maybe this was nothing? Not really sure what happened there or if it's related.
Anyway, I can open pavucontrol, and with the bluetooth speaker paired it doesn't give me the speaker as an output option either.
Not sure what to try next.
And yes I can (and have at all points of this) see module-bluetooth-discover after pactl list short | grep blue.
