It's not actually right-aligned. I just left some space at the beginning of the line in the .conkyrc. You'll need to measure it just right so that stuff at the end doesn't get cut-off when all your stats are maxed.
If you want something truly right-aligned (plus being able to integrate more colors), you can try overlaying dzen2. Here's a simple tutorial:

I don't know, I've always found dwm and wmii snappier than i3, by which I mean they seem to be faster. I know people prefer the easy configuration of i3 but the python configuration for wmii makes it very nice. I'll admit the bash config file is damned ugly but it's still useful.

Done! Switched my mix of XFCE 4.6.2 and Xmonad to wmii and I love it. Now I have to wrap my head about the Python configuration.
Here is how it looks now:
