Zonet CF LAN and Zaurus

I just bought a Zonet CF Ethernet card for my Zaurus but I can't coaxe it to connect to the network at my school. I've gotten it to a point where Linux/Qtopia recognizes when the CF card is inserted (added a card profile to /etc/pcmica/config), but when I go to create a profile for the network connection, all goes well, except that I don't get any sync to the network.
Is this a driver issue, missing/incorrect config file?

First I guess is to see if the kernel actually loaded the driver for the card correctly or if it horked all over it. You can get a terminal in that little badboy right? Can you post back with the info from "dmesg" about the card load? Or, if there are a monster pot of errors when you try to get it on the network... When you mean sync, does dhcp just time out? Also, what module are we dealing with? The Zonet is a wireless card?

I connect with a Low Power Ethernet Socket CF disk to Ethernet no problems from day1.

You need to check your LAN TCP/IP settings on the Zaurus I specify my own IP address and gateway, have you set LAN, ACCOUNT to Obtain TCP/IP automatically? If not try that.

As I said the Socket card works first time on my office net and also with ADSL via Ethernet.

I looked up your card and it looks like it uses the pcnet_cs driver. But if your Z is recognizing the card then it doesn't sound like a driver issue, but an issue with your networking configuration.

When you have the card in, what does ifconfig tell you?
Like buttersoft suggested, are you connecting through DHCP? or is it a static IP?

Slebine, how did you manage to get the Zonet card working on your Zaurus?

Is it the ZCF1100?
