Xserver error on linuxmint after startup. way to get rid of it?

I have liinuxmint and recently my screen came off. The pins did bend, so I bent them back. their straight and they fit in.

But now, it says x server error. It loads well until the desktop appears.

Well now I have the disk in, and it loads perfectly. What do I do next?

Change something in the startup file to load console only? Then repackage xserver?
Please someone help me :(

If I change the kernel, how can I get to a command line to use sudo dpkg xserver code?

Anyone help me?

Your monitor came unplugged, and the pins got bent. You 'bent them straight' but it won't start X now. Yet you see a text console on boot.

First, check your work. There's probably a problem there. The lead can be replaced without having to buy a new monitor. Try your lead in your mate's monitor. Then we will start thinking.
