X Window Config fails on install of RHEL 2.1 AS

Hi folks. I am relatively new to Linux. I have RHEL 3.0 and 2.1 both from my company and am trying to install 2.1 onto a Toshiba Tecra M2, w/a 2gb processor, 1 gb of ram, and a 60gb hdd. The video card is a NVidia GForce 2 Go500 32/64mb.

I can get 3.0 to install ok, but 2.1 fails with a popup saying the X configuration can't start. I know it is a video setting, but where it is I don't know.

I've tried selecting a generic gForce, generic SVGA, both set at 8mb 800x600, and can get it to come up, but the screen is huge.

Can someone please tell me what settings to use?

Thanks in advance.
