Wireless WEP in shared mode with MadWifi
Hi
This is the first time I am installing linux on a laptop supplied with an Atheros chipset based card, and I dont know what I should do about setting Shared mode for my networks. We use 128bit WEP in shared mode at work and at home too, so it would be a struggle not having this. With my other laptops with Intel PRO Wireless cards, it was a breeze, I edited /etc/network/interfaces file, and under the interface, where I wrote the key, I also added "restricted" wireless-key restricted ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff Is this possible somehow with the MadWifi driver? How do I go about setting my network for Shared mode? Thanks Ben |
Hi Every one, I'm new to SUSE 10.1. I'm using the OS on HP Pavilion dv4000. Please suggest me how to make the modem work with dial up. My wlan and other ops like hibernation, standby once I close the display is also not working. Thanks.

hi
I am not sure you wanted to make your thread-starter post a reply to a completely different topic..... Ben |
