wireless set-up ndiswrapper D-Link wua1340
Wireless set-up help requested – Ndiswrapper
I am a Newbee have been struggling last few weeks to set up my wi-fi on my desktop Damn Small Linux I have been assisted on the DSL forum to a point and have read, tried many tutorials, HOWTOs but now I am truly stuck In summary, I located the windows drivers for the D-Link Wua 1340 and ran the ndiswrapper with it – received message “driver installed, hardware present” :-) ndiswrapper –m yielded “modeprobe config already contains alias directive” But modprobe ndiswrapper yielded ndiswrapper (import: 241): unknown symbol: ntoskrnl.exe : ‘ZwWriteFile’ ndiswrapper (load_sys_files: 213) : couldn’t prepare driver ‘dr71wu’ ndiswrapper (load_wrap_driver: 132) : couldn’t load driver ‘dr71wu’ This may well be due to my earlier attempts to install Beyond this I am unable to proceed :-( Can anyone throw some light on how I should proceed, short of reinstalling DSL Thanx FJK |
You are going to need to stay with one of your previous threads and try and answer some to their questions and wait for responses. In your one thread a poster asked you to run the command 'lsusb' and paste the results. I could not find that post. You apparently do not have the right driver for your card installed. First you do not need any exe. files for ndiswrapper.
