Wireless PCMCIA card working on Windows XP but not on Suse 9.0 with a Compaq Presario

I have installed Suse 9.0 on a Compaq Presario 2510EA. So far, it seems to work fine but for the wireless network card, a Sitecom WN-PCC-01. I have configured it to infrastructure mode (with an Access Point Sitecom WL-006) and the yellow light is on and the green light is flashing.

They work fine on Windows XP, so I guess it must be either the configuration or the driver. I am using the wlan0 device. However, I have been using the same IP addressing scheme for both Windows and Linux, so I imagine that is not the problem.

If someone can give me some ideas I will be grateful.
