wireless network or wired

hey there

i have solar s96fm laptop and i have slackware 12.1 running kde, and everytime i try and get the network open it says cannot parse xml data from the back end, what does this mean, do i need like a driver to make it work ?

Your title says "wireless or wired". Which one are you trying to get working?

What are the network devices? (You can find them using lspci or dmesg)

What networking tools are you using? (eg something in the GUI, or terminal commands)
