Wireless

I just put Ubuntu on my laptop. When I put it on it it doesnt let me use my internal wireless adapter. The wireless adpapter is internal and it is a broadcom wireless adapter. If anyone knows how to get this to work let me know.

Broadcom support is generally pretty sketchy, you might have a problem with this one.

You need to find out exactly what model it is, the command "lspci" should tell you.

Most laptops also list the type of wireless card on the bottom of the machine...mine did.

I also have a Broadcom card, and finally resorted to using ndiswrapper and now it works (a little slow, but it works).
