Okay, I've got both a wireless network card and a network card that needs a cable, when configuring them, how are they assigned?

You may need to look in /var/log/dmesg to see how your system assigns them.

Most likely, it will see one (eth0) and have identification info associated with it.

You can then use the ifconfig command to setup the second one.
