wifi suddenly stopped working....cant find any networks anymore...


hello there,
i just switched from vista to ubuntu,after using ubuntu for 2 days,the wifi stopped working.now i cant find any network anymore.the mobile broadband is still working.

Did you do a kernel upgrade? What version of Ubuntu are we talking about?

the newest(9.something)no kernel upgrade.(dont even know what that is..)
i was downloading stuff and suddenly there was no more wifi.the networkmanager doesnt see a network anymore.i had a look around for commands,here the results:

the results change quite alot,i tryed the last one a couple of times,and now it says disabled(wlan0)it never said that before,
anyway,how to enable?any idea?
i was getting annoyd and tryed to reinstall vista with my recovery cd,isnt working either,when i start my laptop up,theres still the grub loader trying to start up ubuntu.
i like ubuntu much more,my laptop is much faster.but it looks like if you have a problem,and your not a it geek your fucked...

also, I made the rookie mistake of turning the switch off on my laptop once. I tried for 3 days to figure the problem out. try to toggle the switch then open network connection again.
