Unhappy WiFi is slow in Linux...

It seems that WiFi is working at least 2 times slower in Linux than in Windows...

Not more than 200 kb/s when my laptop is 1 meter away from the AP.
In Windows it gets up to 500 kb/s, which is faster, but it's about 2 times slower than desired 11 Mbps...

AP is 3com OfficeConnect Wireless Gateway.
Wifi card is Trendnet with ADM8211 chip.

Increasing txpower and changing other settings with iwconfig doesn't help...
