Why cant i install kubuntu from cd on linpus linux????

Why cant i install kubuntu from cd on linpus linux????
i have a problem with my asus K501Nseries, i bought it today, and there is a linpus linux installed, i read the other treads an tried to install kubuntu but i don now how to boot or open the cd????????
what do you mean you dont know how to boot or open cd?
you mean the iso image?
it has a cd drive, i burned the iso image on the cd... but i don't now how to run it, when i type boot cd or something like thath, im gettin the kernel-panic message...
ima turning on ther power with the ubuntu cd in the drive...
i'm getting a screnn witch says

if i press enter i got the boot localhost

Did you do the md5checksum after downloading the iso image? Did you burn it as an image file at a low speed? Do you have the CD set to first boot priority in the BIOS so that when you reboot, it boots from the CD? You usually will have to hit a specific key on boot (F2, F10, DEL) to get into the BIOS. You can see this when booting, usually on screen for a few second at the bottom of the screen although I've seen it at top right.
