Post Which Linux distro for my Toshiba Laptop???

Ok, let me explain, my linux experiences. I have used Linux for a while. I have used Suse, Fedora, Mandrake, Ubuntu, Kubuntu. I would like to know which distro of linux would work best on my laptop. Here are the specs from my laptop:
Satellite M35X-S109

Model name/No. Satellite M35X-S109 / PSA72U-013xx
Processor Intel(R) Celeron(R) M 330 1.40GHz
Memory(MAX) 256MB/2048MB
HDD 40GB
Display Display 15.0 XGA TFT 1024x768
Display controller Intel(R) 855GME
Video RAM 16MB/64MB
Sound Realtek ALC250
PC Card controller TYPE II x 1
IrDA (none)
USB 3 ports (2.0)
Modem Integrated V.92
LAN 10/100Base-TX
Last update 01-12-2005
(as taken from a web page) I have some 700MB of ram and I don't know about the video part. I'm currently dual booting with XP Home and Kubuntu. Also I have a d-link DWL-630G wireless card that I'm using, and would like to continue to use. I don't mind learning, and would like to know what would work best with my system. I'm not afraid of the command line so long there are good directions, and or help available from a forum or something. I prefer Gnome desktop for stability. I also have Debian 3.1 downloaded and Suse 10.1 that I have been considering, or should I stick to Ubuntu???? Thanks in advance for the help.

Shane

All such threads are now supposed to be posted here. As soon as a mod sees this, hopefully, it'll be moved there.

If you think your issues are specific, look at any of the 4 "Similar Threads" at the bottom of this page ... or at the dozens, you'd probably pick up on a forum search.
