Which distro for old Toshiba portege 7020ct

Have just been given a Toshiba Portege 7020ct which has Win xp running.
I would like to put on a linux distro probably in place of or maybe dual boot with XP.
Machine spec is Pentium 2 @ 366Mhz and 128 mb RAM with 6Gb hard drive - there is a docking station with a DVD drive and floppy.
My preference would be for a Gnome desktop and Open Office is essential.
Any ideas ?
PS - I have tried Ubuntu 6.06 as a live CD to see if it detects the hardware but it hangs because of insuffient RAM.

gnome is a pretty "fat" so if you run it on a 366, it will be pretty slow. I have a 366 sony vaio and i run puppy linux on it. It boots up pretty quick, its only 70mb and its a live cd, so try it out.

puppy 2.02

OK, tried puppy and it wouldnt load either graphic interface, just hung. tried CD in other portable and ran OK.
However, xubuntu loaded up OK in the toshiba, strange really as I would have thought that puppy would be less demanding on video. Will keep searching around.
