Which distro for my laptop?

Which distro is best for my laptop? My laptop is a Toshiba A25-S207. It can be seen here:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...u=T24-S207%20P

What I want is to install the distro of linux, and bam, have everything work. I need everything hardware related, including the Agere Wi-Fi card to work flawlessly. I also need a window manager that is easy to use, fast, efficient, and easy to customize. I need to be able to develop web applications as easily as I do with windows, which means a good FTP client, and a good editor. I need to play my music, which I'm not too worried about. I need to be able to watch DVDs. I need to be able to monitor my system performance, and check my e-mail on the fly (something with an onscreen notifier for new mail messages). I need Samba to work flawlessly so that I can connect to Windows boxes and synchronize files on the fly. I also need a good file manager, that can connect to the local filesystems, and connect to the network computers, simultaneously.

If anyone can give me a distribution that does all of this, please reply letting me know, I would much appreciate it. I tried RH9 and could not get Samba to work, as well as find a good window manager or file manager.

Thanks a ton.

Did RH9 recognize and install all your hardware correctly? Usually I'd reccommend RH or Mandrake for "out of the box" installs.

As far as the software you need, Distro shouldn't be a problem. I recommend reinstalling RH9 and asking for some help with Samba here and on other LUG's on the RH and software forums.

Ok, I'm reinstalling RH9 now. My friend told me that Samba 3 just came out with some new features, so I'll try to update the samba package. I'll be sure to reply with any problems I have, thanks so much.

This time around RH9 has been perfect. Some friends have helped me install a lot of the programs I've needed, like Quanta, Dillo, mplayer, etc. Thanks everyone.
