Which dist of Linux for old laptop


I have an old Toshiba Satellite 490CDT w/Pentium 2 and 96mb of memory. I want to give it to the kids to play with..which version of Linux would work best with this old timer?

To Linux distributions that I know are specifically designed for older hardware are damn small Linux and puppy Linux.
