Try these

I have success with using all the follwing on a Compaq Armada (which had a slightly lower specification than yours)

Xandros DeLuxe (versions 1, 2 and 3)

Peanut Linux 9 (now named Alinux)

Damn Small Linux

Ubuntu 5

Alinux and DSL are both relatively small distributions (DSl = 50 MB) whereas Xandros and Ubuntu are both full featured disributions with Open Office et cetera included.

Hi, I have a Toshiba Tecra 8000 PII 300Mhz and it runs Slackware 10 full instalation without problems, I just added 128 MB of ram (192 total) and it runs really good even DIVX using Mplayer, I didn't think it was going to run this good, I think you should give it a try, you might need at least 64 mb more of RAM to make the experience better though. Good Luck.
