What should I do with a netbook (HP Mini 110-1020) that has a broken HDD?
Hi, I own a netbook that has a faulty HDD (DRDY error) and I was thinking that maybe I could buy a MicroSD card and use that as a storage device with a lightweight Linux (SliTaz maybe). What do you think? Can you figure something else to do with the netbook than using it as a paperweight?

Sd card or USB drive can run Linux on that netbook. Does not have to be Just Slitaz either

I was thinking of Slitaz because of the boot times and the fact that I'm not going to use it more than to navigate, listen to music or chatting. |

@TB0ne, @MTK358, I live in Argentina, and a new SATA HDD would cost a lot plus I don't think the price is worth it (the netbook will be used for simple things). A flash drive or SD Card would work better (less expensive).
