I went straight Debian XFce from XFce 18.1 Mint (32).. a bit better, still a slow boot (over 30 sec).. although it has 4GB ram.. and an SSD (way to much @256GB)

wow! 9 years since I created this post! A few months after I posted, I sold my netbook and bought a laptop instead. The netbook was too slow for my liking! I am currently running Debian 10 on my deskop and Linux mint on my laptop.

I had Fedora on my desktop but too many daily updates and some weird errors. Since I installed Debian my Desktop runs flawlessly!

I already had a netbook with almost similar hardware.
The best SO for me was Slackware 14.1 with xfce4
