What's the ethernet driver?

I'm trying to find out what my IBM thinkpad's ethernet driver would be for a network install. I'm asked to sleect a ethernet driver for the laptop, but I have no clue which one it is.

Already the laptop has an old linux on the system, so maybe the ethernet driver information is in there.
Can someone tell me where to look to find out?

Look in /etc/modules.conf. That lists the drivers loaded at boot. There should be a line like:

alias eth0 <driver name>

the driver name is the driver for your nic.
