VIA C7-M Processor working under linux?
I'm thinking about buying this laptop and use it as part of a kiosk solution. This is the link: Laptop with C7 processor
We will be using a program called webconverger http://webconverger.com/ Can linux run on VIA C7-M processor? Do you have any other thin client suggestions? Thanks Claude Ferron |
The VIA stuff seems well supported in Linux, it is x86 compatible so nearly any distro should run on it without issues.

VIA C7-M is no problem in Linux. I have a cheap notebook with this processor and with a standard Slackware kernel the processor can use the kernelmodule e_powersaver and is stepping between 400 and 1500 MHz without any problem.
