Vaio S4XP + Fedora core 4 test 3 + PCMCIA Hang

I just installed Fedora Core 4, test 3 on a Sony Vaio S4XP.

Whilst the operating system is loading up, it hangs whilst starting up the PCMCIA service.

The tech spec is here, but basically the wlan, bluetooth, modem and nic are all inbuilt into the laptop.

I do realise the release is bleeding edge, but any ideas on what I can try to get the OS to load up and why it's hanging would be appreciated.

I guess I was a little skimpy on details anyway I added acpi=off to grub and Fedora no longer hung whilst trying to start the PCMCIA services.

So any idea why this happens ?

Thanks :-)
