i tried to install fedora core 5. but i couldn't. the problem is 'unknown monitor'.

Install in text mode. You can configure your monitor etc. once the system is running.

P.S. You might want to consider a better title than 'urgent' next time - 1) it's not urgent 2) it doesn't say anything about the problem.
