Unable to install bcm 440x 10/100 ethernet card on Red Linux 9 kernel version 2.6.8.1
 
I have a Dell Inspiron 8600. I installed Red Hat Linux 9 with kernel version 2.4.20-8. The Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller worked fine (after a few patchings). I recently updated the kernel to 2.6.8.1 but I could not find the drivers for the Broadcom 440x.
Could anybody tell me how to solve this problem?

You'll need to get it off the Broadcom site - it's a zip of a source tar and a source RPM.
The readme is good - says only tested on 2.4, but I compiled it at 2.6.11 and it works fine on my Dell Inspiron 1100.
