Unable to get Audio CDs to play on my laptop

I can't get any audio CD's to play on my laptop anymore after installing SuSE 9 prof. I can however here normal sounds (like the KDE startup tune)
Audio CD's are recognised
. I've checked kmix, all volumes are set to max. I've tried several different audio players. You can see the cd's playing, but no sound on any cd I've tried. I've got a Soundblaster Compatible / ALi M1535 card.

If you are trying to use kscd, it will only work if your laptop has a physical connection from your CDROM drive to your sound card. Otherwise you have to use software like XMMS and the Audio CD Reader plugin in order to get your CD's to play.

Thanks. I've got it to work. The Audio CD plugin wasn't properly configured.

Where did you find your audio plugins and how did you configure them?
