unable to create centos / opensolaris bootable usb device using startup disk creator
Hi guys,
I have been trying to create bootable usb device for centos and opensolaris in ubuntu startup usb creator utility (default one) but unable to load / utility not accepting the .iso files.
Can someone please advise on any alternative utility? Or something i should do to make the utility work.
I've made bootable USB for Debian and other Debian-based distros, but can't get it to work for Slackware. Both Slackware and OpenSolaris are not as leading edge as distros like Fedora or Debian. Maybe something to do with how a distro's file system is set up in the first place makes it impossible?
Well I just found that it is possible to install Slackware with a custom ISO file - only 30 megs. So it might be more of a headache than its worth, but it is possible. Might be something similar with OpenSolaris. Maybe look through their FTP site? Thanks a lot, and good luck!
Tried opensolaris... I think my existing bootloader got corrupted...
Endedup with a blinking curser when i turn on my system... :-)
No issues.. Now reistalling ubuntu.. And giving it a shot again.. Lets c..
